So, after getting jailed and fined several millions of dollars for doing nothing actually wrong, it has been revealed that the judge in the court case against The Pirate Bay was actually a member of a number of the organizations actually prosecuting The Pirate Bay and actively involved with them during the trial. I mean, really, if that doesn’t scream bias then nothing ever could. The Pirate Bay does nothing technically illegal. Torrenting and file-sharing is perfectly legal. All they are anyway is a search engine. Its the exact same thing as Google. You search for something specific items and they give you links to them, nothing is stored on their servers, they don’t do any file-sharing. Google doesn’t host or create any websites, they just provide links to websites. Its the same concept. If that’s illegal, why haven’t Google, Yahoo, MSN Live, and the countless others been prosecuted? I can find torrents on those just as easily as I could on The Pirate Bay.
